About
Hi there~
Why do moms and parents quit adventure when they have kids?
Well, not me…some might call me crazy, but believe it or not, I recently walked away from a six figure salary with a multi-million dollar business that I currently own during the worst economic conditions in decades. Why’s that you ask? So that I can have more time to pursue the two things that matter most in my life: 1. my family 2. adventure. For the last year or so, I was scratching my head (as all of my hair was falling out) and trying to figure out how I could have possibly build a business and at the same time worked myself into a rat race?? My intention with that company was to work less and make more. Well I wasn’t complaining about the salary, but the enjoyment and passion was long gone. I was spending far less time with my family and more time stressing about work! Ugh! There had to be a better way. So I left, and gave up my salary, my car, my benefits and took a huge leap of faith. I am now on a quest to find income through passive means and adventure with my new found time!!
What has been the common theme in my life is my quest for learning and adventure. I have traveled to Russia at a young age, been a wild land firefighter, a paramedic, built a multi-million dollar company, rode dirt bikes, snow skied…and the list goes on. Can I still do all of these things with kids? Can my lifestyle allow it? I am searching for the most valuable currency around, and that is TIME! I feel like there is a better way to live…won’t you join me on my quest to regain my time and recapture this adventure??

You sound like my kinda gal! I can’t wait to dive into your story!

Thanks Jen! So flattering coming from you! Like you, I’ve done “a little of this” and “a little of that”, but I have to say, your blog has been very inspiring to me — especially that part about no alarm clock, and bigger is not always better–so true! I’m not quite yet a millionaire, but I now have my life structured in such a way that I wake up when I want! (Actually, it’s when the boys come stampeding into my room …you’re a mom, you know how that works!)

I think you’ve made the right choice. It’s a wise decision to choose TIME, especially the precious time with your family.
